Surtex Sterile

Surtex® Classic Posts, the global standard for post systems, is now available* pre-sterilized: Surtex Sterile.Surtex Sterile Posts save time, reduce the risk of bacterial contamination and help with compliance to infection control protocols.Packaged in individual blister packs, Surtex Sterile Posts are color-coded for quick reference and selection.
Surtex Sterile Posts is the first and only pre-sterile post system.Like the Surtex Classic Posts, they offer dentists consistently reliable solutions for post and core build-ups. Dentatus high-quality, prefabricated posts are dependable, economic and available in pure titanium and gold-plated materials. The Surtex Classic Posts are the result of experience and knowledge gained as a trusted partner to the dental industry since 1932. They are intended for passive cementation in root canals, which prevents tension buildup and risk of root fracture.

Luscent-R

The Luscent-R Anchors™ are Dentatus’ newest addition to its family of Fiberglass Posts.Like the other Luscent Anchors, their construction of clear fiberglass and resin transmits light, ensuring complete cure of core material. They also reflect natural hues and eliminate shadowing through composites at the margin, making them ideal for highly esthetic restorations.

But as importantly from the clinician’s point of view, the Luscent-R Anchors appear on x-rays as clearly as traditional metal posts.
Luscent-R Anchors Fulfill All Criteria
In addition to esthetics and radiopacity, Luscent-R Anchors feature excellent strength characteristics. Their flexural modulus is approximately 20 GPa, very similar to that of natural dentine. Light or dual cure composites bond to the Luscent-R Anchors, which allow sufficient time for exact centering and seating of the anchor, as well as a complete fill of the composite inside the canal—creating a cohesive, strong monobloc foundation.Luscent-R Anchors can be placed in both narrow and large canals with conventional adhesive techniques and materials.
TWIN LUSCENT

Raising the Standard of Excellence

Dentatus has raised the standard of excellence with the Twin Luscent® Anchors.
The innovative design is a visible assurance against accidental debonding of adhesive and resin-core materials. The slim mid-section creates a “physical choke.” The vent groove eliminates air resin entrapment and prevents rotational dislocation.
It all adds up to a winning combination of light transmission, attractive esthetics and excellent retention.**Al-Harbi & Nathanson, Boston U. Presented at AAED/IFED MTG, 10/3/02

PROFIN CONTRA-ANGLES

For shaping, contouring and finishing
The Profin® Reciprocating System is the instrument of choice for shaping, contouring and polishing natural dentition and cosmetic restorations with easy access and flexibility.
It is also the perfect instrument to remove bulk, interproximal and subgingival residual bonding materials in all parts of the dental arch.

The system comprises a choice of contra-angles and the flat Lamineer® diamond tips, which move in a reciprocating axial direction (1.2 mm stroke).
The Lamineer tips can be set to rotate freely and follow tooth contours naturally, or they can be locked radially for direct and specific modifications.

Because they are flat, the tips are also very thin, which allows optimal access. The diamond coating is only on one side for safety and control. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes and grits. Plastic and wooden tips are also available for polishing and burnishing.

The easiest way to get started is to purchase a PDX Starter Kit, including the PDX contra-angle and an assortment of Lamineer Tips. See below under “Profin Products” for kit configurations.

LAMINEER TIPS

A Wide Range of Specialized Diamonds
The Lamineer® Tips are offered in a choice of different shapes and grits for many applications unique to the reciprocating Profin® System. They are safe-sided and do not harm soft (gingival) tissues.

They are available in a wide range of color-coded diamond grit sizes, from coarse (150 microns) for gross removal of all restorative materials, to extra-fine (15 microns) for polishing.Wolfram tungsten tips are also available for even finer polishing. This abrasive has the added advantage of not scuffing enamel.
1. Standard Spatula #LTA-(x): For gross reduction, reshaping or finishing of overhangs of all restorative materials and enamel. Color-coded grit (x) range: 150 to 15 microns.
2. Wolfram Tungsten Spatula #LTA-(36, 38 or 39): Superfine abrasive for finishing and polishing of all restorative materials and enamel. Does not scuff healthy enamel.
3. Short Spatula #LTA-S(x): Same as Spatula, but shorter and narrower with knife edge for better interproximal access. Color-coded grit (x) range: 150 to 15 microns.
4. Flexible Spatula #LTA-F(x): Flexibility allows the tip to conform to the restoration surface. Color-coded grit (x) range: 100 to 50 microns.
5. Paddle #LTA-D(x): For finishing surfaces of all restorative materials and enamel. Removes grooves and undercuts. Color-coded grit (x) range: 50 to 30 microns.
6. Saw Blade #LTA-T(x): For opening incisal and gingival embrasures. Color-coded grit (x) range: 50 and 30 microns.
7. Shoulder/Bevel Tip #LTA-C(x): For shaping precise inclines and angles of shoulder and bevels. Color-coded grit (x) range: 50 microns.
8. Concave Spatula #LTA-E(x): For extra-fine protrusive and lateral adjustments on concave surfaces. Color-coded grit (x) range: 50 microns.

PROFIN PDH

A Practical Hand Instrument
The Profin PDH™ hand instrument enables precise finishing work in the most inaccessible areas. It uses the Lamineer Tips, which can be set at either end of the instrument.

At one end, the tip is perpendicular to the instrument, typically for work on posteriors. At the other end, the tip is parallel with the instrument, typically for work on anteriors.

The tip may be set in locked position, typically for controlled material reduction, or it can be set to freely rotate around its axis, typically to follow the tooth contours during fine finishing and polishing.

IPR TIPS

Calibrated Interproximal Reduction
The IPR™ Tips allow interproximal reduction safely and with optimal control:
The tip thickness (0.5, 0.4, 0.3, 0.25, 0.2 or 0.1 mm) sets the prescribed amount of reduction.

They are double-sided except for the 0.25 mm tips which come with abrasive on left or right side.

Like all Profin tips, they do not harm soft (gingival) tissue.

The IPR tips have a grit of 50 microns except the 0.2 mm tips (40 microns) and the 0.1 mm tips (15 microns), which can also be used for polishing.

Color coding corresponds to the thickness of the blade.

PER-IO-TOR

Safe Mechanical Root Planing
“A clean smooth root cementum is of great importance for good healing of marginal periodontitis and for the regeneration of the periodontal supportive tissue.”
Prof. Per Axelssons “Finishing and Minimally Invasive Treatment of Caries and Periodontal Diseases – Materials, Methods and Effects.”
The Per-Io-Tor® instruments work with the reciprocal Profin handpieces. They clean and plane the rough root cementum, but prevent further removal once the surface is clean and smooth.
The secret is in the design, which consists of sharp planing grooves set on a smooth surface.
Per-Io-Tor 1 and 2 are designed for root grooves and furcation areas.
Per-Io-Tor 3 and 4 should be used on plane and convex approximal surfaces. No 3 is extra thin for very narrow interproximal areas, such as lower anteriors.
Per-Io-Tor 5 has a concave working surface for vertical use on convex buccal and lingual surfaces.
Per-Io-Tor 6 has a convex working surface for vertical or diagonal use on concave approximal surfaces.

EVA TIPS

Cleaning made easy
EVA™ Tips are for cleaning and polishing implants and implant retained prosthetics, in interproximal and other hard-to-reach spaces.

The tips are part of the Profin System and come in two sorts:
- EVA-2000, a v-shaped tip with collapsible sides and a pointed tip.
- EVA-5000, a paddle shaped spatula with a round tip.To be used with appropriate polishing paste.

DENTATUS ANEW

Expanding Implant Treatment Options
Dentatus Anew® Narrow-Body Implant is the best treatment option for patients lacking time, money or sufficient bone structure.

It must also be considered for the elderly seeking minimally invasive treatment.

Dentatus Anew is the only narrow-body implant with a screw-retained prosthetic system. It is FDA-approved for long-term use, it is validated for permanent use, and supported by over 20 years of clinical research.

Dentatus Anew’s placement procedure is quick and often flapless. The prosthetic components are designed for immediately loaded chairside restorations. Patients don’t need to leave the office without teeth!

Components for long term laboratory-fabricated restorations are also offered.

ATLAS

Retain, Stabilize, Cushion
The Atlas® Implant System is designed for long-term use to retain and stabilize dentures.

Eliminating the hardware typically associated with overdentures, the Atlas System uses no O-rings, no housings, no adhesives.

Instead, the unique Tuf-Link™ silicone reline is mechanically secured within the denture by an undercut and provides a cushioned fit for stress-free denture insertion, retention, and removal.
The Simple Solution for Denture Comfort

Dentatus Atlas Implant System consists of 4 or 6 implants and the Tuf-Link silicone liner. The liner compensates for ridge changes and bone resorption, cushioning the denture-ridge interface while optimizing patient comfort. This is accomplished without the use of housings, O-rings or adhesives and therefore overcomes restrictions of parallelism, space, stress, and the other limiting obstacles of the edentulous arch. Patients will no longer suffer with sore spots caused by a hard-acrylic denture base rubbing against the sensitive gingival tissue.Tuf-Link is easy to maintain and retains its resiliency for 18-24 months. Tuf-Link will not disintegrate over time, ensuring protection of the implants. The minimally invasive Atlas procedure is often performed without a surgical flap, depending on ridge anatomy. Atlas implants can be loaded immediately, and thus patients can leave the single-visit chairside procedure with a cushioned, comfortable, and stable denture. Patients express very high satisfaction while wearing their Atlas retained dentures and appreciate the ease of inserting and removing their dentures. With Atlas Denture Comfort, patients are assured of having prostheses that look and feel like their very own teeth. They enjoy healthier and better-looking smiles. Bone loss in the ridge is decreased, and patients experience substantial relief from the pain and discomfort of ill-fitting dentures. The stabilization of their prosthesis gives patients a heightened quality of life that only comes from the confidence of being able to laugh, to speak and to eat like once before.

MTI

Immediate Chairside Provisionalization
Dentatus MTI™ is the original Narrow-Body Implant System invented in the early 1990s. It allows successful provisionalization during full mouth implant therapy while providing patients an immediate function prosthesis.

The MTI Implant System is also an indispensable asset for bone graft, ridge augmentation procedures and transitional support of interim fixed restorations. Treatments may often be done in a chairside, single visit.

The implants are made of Grade I Titanium, they are available in 1.8 mm diameter, three lengths, and feature a machined surface. They engage the dense cortical plates of the jaw bone and report high initial stability. They are designed to be loaded immediately.
MTI Implants are placed in ancillary sites and immediately restored so that (1) patients never have to be without teeth and (2) surgical sites remain completely protected.

Prior to MTI, providing a denture for edentulous patients was commonplace, but the constant pressure often caused prosthetic overload during the critical bone remodeling phase and ultimately implant failure.

The MTI implants are used in conjunction with a splinted bar system and disperse mastication forces throughout the entire restoration. They have been found to aid in the osseointegration of the permanent implants and provide patients with a sense of what is to come – engaging them in the restorative design process at an earlier stage, leading to higher patient satisfaction.

The singular copings and built-in metal Bar-Stop solve earlier difficulties of interconnecting varying implant heights and misalignments. The prefabricated Ti Bars create a strong metal-resin laminated splint supported by the MTI Implants.

CEPO DRILLS

Needlepoint Accuracy
The CePo™ Drills are highly recommended for initiating osteotomies for all sizes and types of implants. The sharp, chatter-free drilling assures accuracy of position, angle and depth.
The CePo drills come in 2 kinds of markings

Markings type 1 (1040 Series) is typically for bone level procedures.
The lower border line of each marking corresponds to the threaded length of the implant: short (7mm), medium (10mm) and long (14mm).
Markings width is 0.5mm.Markings type 2 (1140 Series) is typically for flapless placement.
The upper border line of each marking correspond to the implant’s platform: short (11mm), medium (14mm) and long (18mm), i.e. flush with the top of the gingiva.
Markings width is 2mm.
Example of Markings 1 (left side) and Markings 2 (right side) for a Medium implant

TUF-LINK

An Elastic and Resilient Silicone Material
Tuf-Link™ is a silicone polymer used to reline the hard-acrylic denture base to increase patient comfort and solve difficult prosthodontic problems. Tuf-Link is often used with our Atlas Implant Overdenture System, but it can also be used on its own as a durable, resilient soft-reline material.

Tuf-Link’s nonporous formula does not absorb water, which is one of the leading causes of bacteria growth and odors. This extraordinary liner is tear resistant and maintains its form and resiliency over time; it is recommended to replace at 18-24 months. Unlike other reline materials, Tuf-Link will not pill or disintegrate as it wears.
Tuf-Link is designed to cushion full or partial dentures without adhesives and glazes in one, short office visit. New or existing dentures can be retrofit chairside with the Denture Forming Instruments, creating an undercut for  mechanical retention and then relined with Tuf-Link, polymerizing in 4-5 minutes. This technique produces a perfect fit every time, eliminating post-insertion adjustments, discomfort, sores and lesions.
Depending on the conditions and professional preference, Tuf-Link can be used as a chairside procedure or used indirectly in the dental laboratory without the need of adhesives.
The Original Matrix Bands are manufactured from the highest quality stainless steel. They are available in two thicknesses: 0.04 mm, in packs of 12 pieces, and 0.05 mm, in packs of 12 or 100 pieces. The 0.05 mm Bands have a special dead soft quality. The thinnest bands provide optimum prerequisites for well-contoured and defined interproximal contacts.Stainless steel gives the bands high strength and adjustability. All Dentatus Matrix Bands have perfectly smooth edges.
Dentatus introduces its Contoured Matrix Bands, crafted with precise anatomical shapes that replicate the natural contours of teeth. These contoured bands are designed to simplify the restoration process by reducing the need for manual contouring, saving clinicians both time and effort.Made from high-grade stainless steel, Dentatus Contoured Matrix Bands deliver outstanding strength and durability. Offered in two thicknesses — 0.038mm and 0.045mm — these bands provide flexibility for various restorative needs. The 0.038mm band ensures greater flexibility and is ideal for cases requiring close adaptation, while the 0.045mm band offers extra support and stability for more complex restorations.
The Nyström Matrix Bands are made of 0.040 mm thick stainless steel and come in packs of 12 pieces. They are especially useful in recreating gingival margins of class V restorations, where the cavity is considerably below the gum line and rubber dams are difficult or impossible to apply. They are designed to deflect the gingiva and allow access to the cavity. This permits careful inspection of the gingival margin. This matrix also provides for a dry field of operation and helps rebuild the natural contour.
Dentatus Matrix System is Dr. Nyström’s original design.

Models MEC-N1 and N2 were the first angulated Retainers. They are mirror images of each other and can be applied lingually or buccally to provide firm adaptation of the matrix band to the tooth. When placed lingually, they permit a better field of vision. When placed buccally, the angulation prevents twisting of the retainer and thus its displacement by the tongue or cheek. The stability gained adds to the rigidity of the Nyström Matrix System.

The Nyström Retainers are also available in a universal straight aperture (MEC). This design is simple and easy to handle.

Both styles feature adjustment screws that are tightened after the matrix band is adapted providing secure retention and ease of use.

Nyström Matrix Retainers used with Dentatus Matrix Bands provide dentists the assurance they need for everyday reliability.
ARTICULATORS & FACE BOWS

Legendary quality

The reputation of the Dentatus Articulators and Face Bows has been well documented since their introduction in the 1940’s. They are famous worldwide for their practical design, their precision and their reliability. They are used in countless schools, clinics and laboratories and they are appreciated by thousands of professionals.

All the models maintain the same quality and precision. Only the amount of settings vary depending on the model. The different finishes give the product a beautiful look and makes easy the removal of plaster, plastic and all other foreign matters.

The Dentatus Articulators and Face Bows provide their owners many years of continuous use.
The Dentatus Face Bow AEB is equipped with standard calibrated Condylar Rods. The cranial contact points on the calibrated Condylar Rods are positioned at the corresponding positions of the patient’s condyles.

When transferred to the articulator, the calibrated Condylar Rods fit on the condylar axis’s on the articulator.

The Calibrated Condylar Rods are exchangeable. By changing the rods, the same bow can be used for all methods of determining the condylar position. For extra-precise placement, an additional set of calibrated Condylar Rods may be used.

The AEB-NO has extendable pins, for exact placement over pre-marked positions.
The Face Bow AEE is equipped with calibrated Condylar Rods with blue rounded pieces which are placed in the patient’s ear openings.

This makes it easier for the operator to handle the face bow single-handedly. When transferred to the articulator, the blue rounded ear plugs are attached to the Auditory Pins placed on the outer side of the articulator’s Condylar Track Assemblies.
